Diplomatic Security Services for Embassies, Foreign Diplomats, and Royal Families members

The AES provides security assistance and guidance to the foreign diplomatic corps in the United States.

Through its close working relationships with foreign mission security officials, and federal, state, and local law enforcement authorities, the division responds quickly and effectively to all problems, questions, and concerns of the foreign diplomatic community.

Many items are strictly forbidden on the Embassy grounds.  No food or drinks allowed. Electronic items, anything with a power plug or battery, (laptop computers, cell phones, Ipods, Blackberries). Guards will hold cell phones and small cameras during your visit. Large bags, suitcases and luggage are prohibited: there are no storage facilities on Embassy grounds.  Service animals with documentation are allowed entry. Applicants who do not follow these instructions will experience considerable delays at the security check point which could result in the cancellation of the appointment.
