Effective date: September 30, 2026. Last updated: September 30, 2026.
Overview.
American Executive Security ("AES," "we," "us," or "our") is a physical-security services company based at 6066 Leesburg Pike, Suite 930, Falls Church, Virginia 22041. This notice explains how we handle information collected through our website at americanexecutivesecurity.com, which is a marketing and enquiry site for prospective clients in Washington, DC and Virginia.
We do not sell products through this website. We do not process payments through this website. We do not maintain user accounts on this website. The website's primary purpose is to describe our services and to receive prospective-client enquiries so that a member of our team can respond.
Information we collect.
Information you provide through the enquiry form. When you complete the enquiry form on the contact page, we receive the fields you choose to submit: your name, the organization you represent, your business email address, your phone number, an optional company website URL, the general service you are enquiring about, the region and locality of the property, a description of the business or property, an approximate timeframe, and the free-text message you write. We also record that you affirmed the consent checkbox before submitting.
Information you provide by phone or email. If you call 703.372.2196 or email info@aesecurityinc.com directly, we receive whatever information you choose to share in that conversation or message.
Information collected automatically. When your browser requests a page from our web server, standard request information is recorded in server logs. This typically includes the IP address the request came from, the date and time of the request, the URL requested, the referring URL if provided by your browser, the HTTP status returned, and the browser user-agent string. This information is used for site operation, security, and diagnosing errors.
What we do not collect on this website. This website does not include third-party analytics scripts, advertising pixels, social-media tracking tags, session-replay tools, or a consent-management platform. The site's client-side JavaScript makes no remote calls and writes no tracking identifiers to browser storage. We do not use cookies to identify or profile visitors across sessions.
How we use the information you provide.
We use enquiry information only for the following purposes:
- To respond to your enquiry, discuss your requirements, and, if appropriate, prepare a written proposal or quote.
- To coordinate a site visit, schedule a conversation, or confirm operational details for a proposed assignment.
- To maintain a record of the enquiry and any resulting proposal for reasonable commercial and legal recordkeeping.
- To send follow-up communications related to the specific enquiry you initiated. We do not add enquirers to any marketing newsletter.
- To comply with applicable law and to protect our legal rights, our employees, and the safety of persons or property.
We do not use enquiry information for automated decision-making that produces legal or similarly significant effects, and we do not use it for profiling or targeted advertising.
How long we keep information.
We retain enquiry information for as long as we are actively discussing a potential engagement with you, and for a reasonable period afterward for commercial recordkeeping. Our default retention is up to seven years after the enquiry is closed, which reflects general Virginia commercial-record norms and allows us to reference prior conversations if you contact us again.
Records for active clients are retained for the duration of the client relationship and for a reasonable period afterward as required by contract, insurance, tax, or other legal obligations. Server request logs are retained for approximately ninety days for security and diagnostic purposes, after which they are deleted or aggregated.
You may ask us to delete an enquiry record earlier; see Your rights below.
Cookies, tracking, and Do Not Track.
This website does not set cookies for advertising, analytics, profiling, or cross-site tracking. A modern browser may still associate a small amount of purely functional state with the site (for example, a session identifier used only to serve the current page), and browser-level or extension-level features may operate independently of the site.
Because we do not engage in cross-context behavioral advertising or the sale of personal information, "Do Not Track" browser signals and Global Privacy Control (GPC) signals do not change how this website operates. If we begin using cookies or comparable technologies for those purposes in the future, we will update this notice and provide an appropriate opt-out mechanism.
Your rights under US state privacy laws.
Virginia residents (VCDPA). Under the Virginia Consumer Data Protection Act, Virginia residents have the right to (i) confirm whether we process personal data about them and access that data; (ii) correct inaccuracies in that data; (iii) delete personal data provided by or obtained about them; (iv) obtain a portable copy of the data they provided; and (v) opt out of targeted advertising, sale of personal data, and certain profiling. AES does not engage in targeted advertising, does not sell personal data, and does not conduct profiling that produces legal or similarly significant effects. You may still submit the other requests using the contact information below. If we deny a request, you may appeal by replying to the response we send you, and if the appeal is denied you may contact the Virginia Office of the Attorney General.
California residents (CCPA/CPRA). Under the California Consumer Privacy Act as amended by the California Privacy Rights Act, California residents have the right to know what personal information we collect and how we use it, to request access to and deletion of personal information, to correct inaccurate personal information, to opt out of the sale or sharing of personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and to limit the use of "sensitive personal information." We do not sell or share personal information as those terms are defined in the CCPA/CPRA, and we do not collect sensitive personal information through this website. You will not be discriminated against for exercising a CCPA/CPRA right.
Colorado, Connecticut, and other US state residents. Similar rights exist under the Colorado Privacy Act, the Connecticut Data Privacy Act, and the growing set of comparable state laws (including in Texas, Oregon, Montana, Utah, and others). If your state gives you rights over your personal data and AES is subject to that law with respect to information about you, we will honor a valid request as described below.
How to make a request. Send your request to info@aesecurityinc.com with the subject line "Privacy request," or write to Privacy Request, American Executive Security, 6066 Leesburg Pike, Suite 930, Falls Church, VA 22041. Please describe the right you are exercising and provide enough information for us to locate any records that relate to you (typically the name, email address, or phone number used at the time of the enquiry). We will respond within the timeframe required by the applicable law, generally forty-five days, and may extend once when reasonably necessary. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. An authorized agent may submit a request on your behalf with written authorization.
If you are outside the United States.
This website is intended for prospective clients whose property, event, or operation is located in Washington, DC or Virginia. Our services are not offered outside the United States, and this website is not directed to residents of the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom.
If you are a resident of the EU, EEA, or UK and you have submitted information through this website, please contact us at info@aesecurityinc.com to discuss your data and any request you would like to make. We do not claim GDPR or UK GDPR compliance as a general matter and any information you submit will be transferred to and processed in the United States.
Children under 13.
This website is not directed to children under the age of thirteen, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you believe a child has provided personal information through this website, please contact us and we will delete the information promptly.
Security.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect the information you submit. These include restricting access to enquiry information to personnel who need it, using reputable business email and telephony providers, serving the website over HTTPS, and applying standard hardening for the underlying hosting and endpoints.
No system is perfectly secure. Please avoid sending sensitive information through the website enquiry form, and never send access codes, alarm information, identity documents, patient or student records, private guest lists, or detailed vulnerability descriptions through the form. A general location, service type, timeframe, and contact details are enough to begin a conversation.
Third-party links.
Some pages on this website link to third-party resources such as mapping services, professional associations, or government pages. Those services operate under their own terms and privacy notices. We are not responsible for the information practices of any third-party site. Following such a link means the destination service, not AES, receives the information your browser sends to it.
Changes to this notice.
We may update this privacy notice from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, applicable law, or other operational reasons. When we do, we will update the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For a material change, we will use reasonable means to draw attention to the update, which may include a note on this page or in our response to a pending enquiry.
